What Are My Lean To Design and Build Options?
There are so many options which effect the design and price of your Lean To Conservatory, some of which are detailed below:
Base - There are 3 options to choose from on the base of your conservatory, all will effect price of the build slightly:
- 600mm Dwarf wall
This is the traditional option but still quite affordable and by far the best looking, giving your Lean To Conservatory a more solid and permanent feel, we also have a brick matching service.
- Full Height Glass
Choosing this option will reduce the cost of your conservatory but of course, glass costs money so not as much as you may think.
- Raised PVC Panels at Base
This is the most cost effective option placing UPVC panels at the foot of the conservatory therefore using less glass and no brickwork will reduce the cost of the Lean To the most.
Roof - There are commonly 2 types of roof available for your Lean To Conservatory:
- Glass Roof
The most commonly chosen option having a full glass conservatory roof which lets in maximum light from the outside. You could also opt to have roof blinds installed which allow you to control how much light and heat flows into the conservatory.
- Polycarbonate Roof
Replaces glass with a high grade polycarbonate roof, reducing cost and letting less light in from above. Polycarbonate is much lower maintenance and can reduce heat buildup during summer months. There is also a range of shades of roof allowing you to control how much light is let in to your Lean To Conservatory from above.
Ventilation - During summer months, it is important to consider what ventilation you will require, some of the options are detailed below:
- Manual Roof Vents
Manual ventilation is perfect for releasing some of the excess heat buildup during summer periods and much cheaper than electric vents.
- Electric / Automated Roof Vents
These serve the same purpose as the manual vents, the only difference is that they are automated so that you can control them either via remote control or from a switch installed on the wall of your conservatory. This will again reduce heat buildup during hot periods.
Colour / Finish - If you are choosing UPVC or hardwood, then there are commonly 3 finishes available:
Of course, apart from the above, there are many other options such as door handles, glass types, wood treatment, floor types, frankly just too many to go into but don't worry - when you arrange a conservatory quote with the Lean To Conservatory Price Checker, all of the companies in our database will disucss these options with you to ensure total peace of mind.
